This week end we get that extra hour of daylight which is sure to usher in warmer weather, melting snow and a preview of all that is getting ready to surface for spring. I love to spot the first brave crocus breaking its way through the lacy cover of ice that still coats the ground on early spring mornings. The daffodils and tulips won't be far behind. Just thinking about the possibility almost makes the lingering snow and ice ponds we used to call driveways bearable.
A preview of the shop as it will look this spring, finds us using a small homespun heart along with a grapevine wreath, to give that sage green cupboard the kind of appeal that encourages even the casual customer to think about how great that it would look in their foyer. A English watering can and some chocolate rabbit molds might grace the top to bring in spring and complete the look.
